Back to the Garden

The bizarre weather this spring has kept me out of the garden.  After the early "too warm" days, we had a few cold weeks and no rain. Then several cold, rainy days improved the precipitation level to a little under normal.  As soon as the temperature improved, the landscapers starting applying chemicals to the lawns--and I avoided the garden until the chemicals washed into the soil. Now, with a severe storm warning for this evening that might shred the buds and leaves with straight line winds and hail, I took my camera out to the garden. With improving weather between the front that just left and the approaching cold front, the breeze was stiff but I was able to get some photos of the emerging garden.

And, of course, some weeds--
