A nor'easter is on its way. The wild turkeys seem to know. They are not April Fools. They know to forage for some food before snow again blankets the compacted grasses bent over from previous snowpack. They pecked along the sidewalk at the bottom of the rockface below the fence that borders my backyard garden--not far from the bird feeders. Could there be seed there, blown by the wind or dropped by startled birds?
